Washington, D.C. -- Congressman Scott Perry applauded efforts by the Trump Administration to secure the release of Caitlan Coleman, a York County resident who was captured over 5 years ago by the Haqqani terror network, an offshoot of the Taliban. Ms. Coleman was freed along with her husband, Joshua Boyle, a Canadian citizen, and their two sons, American citizens born in captivity.
The couple was abducted by the terror group near the Pakistan/Afghanistan border in 2012. "This is great news for this family and our Country. Today, we celebrate the safe return of Caitlan and her family and look forward to their swift return to the United States," said Congressman Perry. "I speak with Caitlan’s parents regularly, and haven’t stopped praying since our first meeting for a positive end to this nightmare." Congressman Perry spoke on the House floor earlier this week in recognition of the anniversary of their capture and implored the administration to secure their safe returns.
