Thank you for your interest in an Internship in our Washington, DC office.
Representing the People of Pennsylvania's 10th Congressional District is an honor, and while serving in Congress is not easy, it is a rewarding experience.
A congressional internship provides an opportunity to learn more about our government and the operations of the institution. We're looking for dedicated, hardworking, reliable, and eager individuals to assist in serving with our Staff. A qualified candidate also will possess basic familiarity with the American political system and Congress, have an interest in current events and news, and demonstrate strong communication skills and work ethic. Must have an enthusiastic "can do" attitude as constituent service is the cornerstone to this role. Pennsylvania ties are usually given preference, but not required. Depending on the number of hours worked and eligibility for academic credit, an intern may be eligible to receive a stipend.
Internships are available throughout the year, generally on a rolling basis as follows:
- Spring (Jan-May)
- Summer (Jun-Aug)
- Fall (Sep-Dec)
Due to the high number of applications received, you may hear from us only if an interview is requested.
Interested applicants must submit the following:
- current resume;
- brief statement of interest;
- dates/duration of availability; (internship hours are flexible to accommodate a student's course schedules, but generally run 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. when the House is in session, and 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. when not in session.)
