Congressman Perry Continues Constituent Outreach Efforts

YORK, PA – To give citizens an opportunity to share their concerns regarding issues before the United States Congress, U.S. Representative Scott Perry will be meeting with constituents from Cumberland and Dauphin counties on Monday, June 24 from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at the district office located at 730 North Front Street in Wormleysburg. Similar events at his offices in Adams and York counties will take place later this summer.

“During my first five months in office, I've truly been humbled by the trust placed in me by the people of the 4th Congressional District,” said Congressman Perry. “For me to effectively represent my constituents in Congress, I need to consistently get their feedback on the issues facing our country.”

No formal agenda is set for this "meet and greet” event; rather, it's an informal opportunity for constituents to meet with Congressman Perry and his staff, to visit the local district office, and to learn what services the office provides, such as assistance with federal agencies.

The three summer events continue Congressman Perry’s efforts to actively solicit constituent feedback. Since taking office in January, he has met with hundreds of constituents via individual meetings and site visits, conducted in-person town and tele-town meetings, and aggressively has utilized social media to interact with the citizens he serves. Nearly 10,000 constituents have signed up for regular updates via Congressman Perry’s e-newsletter, Facebook or Twitter pages. Social media venues such as these allow him to solicit constituent feedback and provide information on the issues before Congress, while also saving hard-earned taxpayer resources.

Constituents unable to attend Monday’s event are encouraged to visit Congressman Perry’s website at Perry.House.gov to sign up for e-mail updates, as well as his Facebook, Twitter and YouTube pages. The dates for the Adams and York “Meet-n-Greet” events, as well as future town meetings, will be announced in the near future.
