Congressman Scott Perry Sworn In to the 119th Congress
Washington, D.C. – Today, U.S. Representative Scott Perry was sworn in to the 119th Congress. Congressman Perry is committed to enacting the mandate on which the People of Pennsylvania’s 10th Congressional District sent him to Washington to deliver.
“It’s time to get to work and accomplish the aggressive, America First agenda that President Trump and Congressional Republicans promised the American People,” said Rep. Perry. “We have a rare opportunity to get back on track by unleashing American energy, securing our southern border, ending the rampant weaponization of federal agencies, and putting America’s interests first in foreign policy.”
Congressman Perry is honored to continue serving his neighbors in South-Central Pennsylvania and soon will announce his House Committee assignments.
Congressman Perry is a combat Veteran and represents the 760,000 People of South-Central Pennsylvania. He served previously on the U.S. House Committees on: Transportation and Infrastructure - on which he was Chairman of the Subcommittee on Economic Development, Public Buildings, and Emergency Management, and serves on the Subcommittee on Aviation; Oversight and Accountability; Foreign Affairs - and its Subcommittee on Oversight & Accountability; and the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence - and on its Defense Intelligence and Overhead Architecture, and National Intelligence Enterprise Subcommittees. He is the former Chairman of the House Freedom Caucus. Perry retired from the U.S. Army at the rank of Brigadier General in 2019, after nearly 40 years in uniform. He served three terms in the Pennsylvania General Assembly, has a bachelor’s degree from Penn State University in Business Management, and a master’s degree in Strategic Studies from the U.S. Army War College. He resides in Northern York County with his wife, Christy, and their two children.
