Congressman Perry sends his Deepest Condolences to the Family of Former Congressman Bill Goodling

Congressman Perry offered the following statement upon learning of the passing of Former Congressman Bill Goodling:

“We lost a great man and public servant today. I'm deeply saddened to learn of the passing of former Congressman Bill Goodling. Born in Loganville, he served our District in the U.S. House of Representatives from 1975-2001. In addition to being an Army Veteran, Congressman Goodling served as an educator for many years and was a tireless champion of strengthening educational opportunities for everyone. He served as Chair of the House Committee on Education and the Workforce for the 105th and 106th Congresses, and his portrait hangs in the Committee’s hearing room yet today. Christy and I offer our heartfelt prayers and condolences to his family and loved ones, and wish them - and Bill - Godspeed.”
