York, PA – The National Debt is $19 trillion and rising – and there’s no end in sight. U.S. Rep. Scott Perry (PA-4) will be joined by the Concord Coalition - a nationwide, non-partisan, grassroots organization advocating responsible fiscal policy - to host an interactive budget exercise aimed at helping citizens learn more about federal tax and spending policies and giving them an opportunity to help find solutions to this crisis. WHO: U.S. Rep. Scott Perry and Phil LaRue, Director of Government Relations, Concord Coalition WHAT: “Principles and Priorities”: An Interactive Budget Workshop WHEN: Wednesday, June 1, 2016, 6:00PM to 8:30PM WHERE: Willman Business Center, York College of Pennsylvania, 441 Country Club Rd, York In Principles & Priorities, citizens are invited to work in small groups to develop fiscal reform plans to reduce projected federal deficits over the coming decade, considering a range of policy options in all major budget areas, including defense, taxes, Social Security, Medicare and other domestic spending. Citizens are encouraged to apply their personal principles during the exercise, and through discussion and compromise, form a budget plan to put America on a sound fiscal foundation for the next several years.
