INTERNSHIPS IN CONGRESSMAN PERRY'S OFFICE

Serving as an intern in my Congressional office is an exciting way to learn more about the legislative process while gaining academic credit for school.

Internships are available for college students during the summer. For more information on college internships and how to apply, please see the Frequently Asked Questions below.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT INTERNSHIPS

Q: What happens during an internship?

A: An internship gives students the opportunity to see firsthand what transpires in a Congressional office. During the course of an internship, the intern participates fully in the duties of the office. Students are given the opportunity to observe committees, the House and the Senate, and other government agencies in action, if interning in Washington, D.C. Students who are interning in the 10th District will provide constituent service.

Q: Who is eligible for an internship?

A: An undergraduate college student who is a resident of the 10th Congressional District of Pennsylvania and has completed their freshman year of undergraduate studies by the beginning of the internship is eligible to apply. They may be attending any college or university of their choice. Please note, however, that due to the large number of applications received, weight is given to the class level (ie…freshman, sophomore, junior, senior) of each applicant.

Q: How are interns selected?

A: Interns are selected based on academic performance, extracurricular activities, and a sincere interest in government. The selection of interns is made on a non-partisan basis.

Q: What is the application deadline?

A: Summer internship application deadline is March 1, 2025.

Q: How do I apply for an internship?

A: Applicants should contact my District Director, Jodi Marsico, at Jodi.Marsico@mail.house.gov or 717-603-4980.
